Consal Trade continues its activity in the field of coastal protection infrastructure, having as its main objective the preservation and protection of the beaches of the southern Romanian coast. One of the company's latest projects is the casting and installation of large XBLOCs with volumes of 3 m2 and 4.5 m2 at the Olimp site. These concrete structures play an essential role in protecting the beaches and piers of the Costinești, Olimp, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn resorts, contributing significantly to reducing the negative effects of marine erosion.

XBLOCs represent a modern and efficient solution in coastal protection engineering, being internationally recognized for their ability to disperse wave energy. Through their specific shape, these structures were designed to naturally interconnect, which gives them high stability in the face of strong waves and sea currents. The implementation of this technology within the projects to strengthen the Romanian coast underlines Consal Trade's commitment to sustainability and innovation.

The casting process of the XBLOCs is carried out with high-quality concrete, supplied from the "Concrete Station" Work Point located in the Agigea port. The concrete used in these works is carefully prepared, respecting international standards of strength and durability. The concrete plant in Agigea is equipped with modern equipment, which ensures a constant and high-quality production of the concrete needed to make XBLOCs. The strict control of the quality of the materials and the production process guarantees obtaining robust final products, able to withstand extreme conditions, such as those encountered on the coast.

Once cast, the XBLOCs are transported and precisely placed at the end of the piers at said resorts, where they form a solid barrier against the force of the sea. This stage of the project is crucial to protect the beaches from erosion and to maintain an ecological balance in the coastal area. Marine erosion is a natural phenomenon that affects both soil stability and local ecosystems, and the use of XBLOCs significantly reduces the impact of this process. In addition, these structures extend the life of piers and beaches, providing a long-term solution for the protection of the environment and the tourist infrastructure in the area.

Costinești, Olimp, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn resorts benefit directly from these works, thus contributing to the protection of the coast and the preservation of beaches, which are essential resources for both residents and tourists. Projects of this type not only bring immediate benefits by protecting against waves, but also contribute to the preservation of the natural beauty of the beaches, which are a vital part of the tourism landscape on the Black Sea coast.
